Civil and Natural Resources Engineering
Summary
Within Civil and Natural Resources Engineering there are many areas of both theoretical and experimental research. There is on-going research in many areas including: environmental engineering, fire engineering, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, natural resources engineering, structural engineering and transportation engineering systems.
Our research activities have gained us an international reputation attracting many overseas visitors who bring worldwide expertise to the Department and our students. Expert technical assistance is provided for both laboratory classes and experimental research. We have our own 480m2 computing facility with both Alpha and PC computers.
