Rotational rheometer, stress controlled

Equipment Summary

The SR5000 is a mechanical spectrometer (Rheometer) that is capable of subjecting a sample to either a dynamic (sinusoidal) or steady shear stress, and then measuring the resultant strain by the sample in response to this shear stress. Shear stress is applied by the motor; strain is measured by the transducer. Stress amplitude and frequency are set by the operator, with the actual sample deformation determined by the measured motor and transducer displacement. Test methods: stress-controlled dynamic, stress-controlled steady, and stress-controlled transient.
