Inclusive and Special Education Research Group

Research Group Summary

ISER is a research group with membership across the UC College of Education, Health and Human Development. ISER staff are established researchers in the field of inclusive and/or special education. PhD students whose topics are in this field may also be associated with ISER.
These established researchers bring both breadth of professional experiences and depth of theoretical backgrounds to their approaches to inclusive and special education.
Staff backgrounds encompass: educational psychology, counselling, cognitive neuroscience, learning and behavioural difficulties, sociology, disability studies, parental involvement, culturally responsive pedagogy, policy studies, curriculum development, educational and psychological assessment.
The purpose of ISER is to facilitate collaboration between UC staff who work in this field in order to win and manage research contracts, mentor colleagues, supervise postgraduate students and to produce joint publications.
