Research Group Summary
The Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) is a research unit with international links, providing high quality statistical measurement and analysis for schools.
The CEM Centre is committed to applying best standards for its high quality tests, questionnaires, analysis and indicator systems.
One key activity is the measurement of pupil progress (value added) with clear graphical feedback and comparisons against thousands of other students throughout New Zealand.
A second key activity is development, marking and analysis of the assessments in English, Maths and Reasoning Skills, designed for entrance into Year 7 or Year 9 (Entrance tests).
We also have a pool of highly competent data entry staff to undertake a range of data services including survey analysis and transcribing.
