Project Abstract

This study investigates how best to address cultural and religious diversity in sexuality education. It will examine potential cultural and religious barriers that prevent young people and schools from engaging in sexuality education. It also seeks to discover how young people from culturally and religiously diverse backgrounds experience school-based sexuality education. The project will enhance the provision of school-based sexuality education by deepening understanding of pertinent cultural and religious differences. The aim is to improve the sexual health and well-being of young people, in Australia and New Zealand, within and across cultural and religious divides.
