Project Abstract

Researching understandings about learning and teaching (RULT) is a two-year Teaching and Learning Research Initiative (TLRI) project that focuses on building a learning community. We have used a range of strategies to develop thinking and inquiry into learning and teaching. These collaborative processes have been modified as the first year has progressed and they are supporting the building of both the research capability and capacity of the teachers. The value of storying, as a means of sharing insights/ learning about teaching, is used to illustrate some of the issues in developing this emergent research community.
