How do Christchurch households engage with water in their social reproductive, gardening and recreational activities? What values and meaning are given to water in these activities? How do Christchurch households conceptualise the upstream and downstream aspects of their water use? How are Christchurch household water practices shaped by cultural narratives, including injunctions and encouragements, and constructs such as hygiene and the sacred? How are Christchurch household water practices influenced and mediated by various technologies?
