Researcher Summary

Research interests lie in journalism studies, with an emphasis on alternative, community and ethnic minority media, particularly how communities use mainstream and ethnic news media, the role of journalists and news organisations as members of communities (physical and virtual), and the relationships between journalism and communities. This interest has led to researching journalism in digital and social media.
