Researcher Summary
My research primarily focuses around determining seismic hazards from paleo-liquefaction investigations. This includes the identification, documentation, and dating of pre-historic and/or historic liquefaction features to determine whether areas have historically liquefied and to approximate the timings of the liquefaction-triggering earthquakes. I am also working on assessing the influence of near-surface geomorphic and sedimentologic variability on the extent of lateral spreading during the Canterbury earthquakes.
