Researcher Summary
I am interested in the longer-term developmental outcomes of high-risk infants. That is, the outcomes of children who are exposed to early biological and environmental risk factors. During my postgraduate career my primary area of research focus was the early and school-age cognitive, mental health, and behavioural outcomes of children with prenatal substance exposure, who were raised in an environment impacted by parental addiction. For my postdoctoral fellowship I will continue to research the outcomes associated with a high-risk perinatal history, with a focus on the adolescent period of development.
