School of Educational Studies and Leadership
I am interested in the day to day dilemmas teachers face in their responsibility to teach all students within the NZC. I am particularly interested in how competence is constructed through the ways assessment, teaching and learning are recognised and practised in New Zealand schools. My research adheres to the principles of DSE - that is, it privileges the voices and experiences of disabled students themselves as informing a way forward. I also value the collaborative nature of learning communities to investigate inclusive ways of working.
