Researcher Summary
My research interests lie in the field of mixed reality (AR/VR) and human-computer interaction (HCI). In this area, I particularly interested in the fully immersive and interactive synthetic environment via improving human perception and cognition. Since the computer-generated space has its particular domain to view the world, that depends on the reality continuum from augmented reality to virtual reality, my research focuses on an understanding and analyzing the digital domain with a virtual avatar, sensory feedback, and effective user interface system, using both empirical and statistical examination to effectively deliver the immersion and interaction as if we have our own body, and as if we are being in the digital space.
Based on the findings from my research, I am leveraging toward the fully synthetic reality which interacts with the virtual world for a social relationship, education, entertainment, simulation, game design, and medical treatment. The synthetic reality could be a strong tool for supporting the human in processing information in a new way and handling both virtual and physical product effectively.
