Cultivating future entrepreneurs
Dr. Qingqing Bi’s current research focuses on entrepreneurial cognition and behaviour, especially the psychological and behavioural factors that influence entrepreneurs’ decision making and firm-level outcomes. Examples include the study of entrepreneurs’ cognitive biases on firms’ innovation capability and business performance (funded by National Research Foundation Singapore, 2015-2018); and the study of individuals’ cognitive style, growth mindset and discovery behaviours on their entrepreneurial intentions (funded by UC Summer Research Scholarship, November 2018 – February 2019).Before joining the UC, Qingqing had a number of years’ work experience in the tech industry. She also actively engaged in the entrepreneurial community when working as a Postdoc Research Fellow in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Against this background, she has a genuine research interest in technology ventures and innovation management in start-up context.
