Researcher Summary

My research focuses on sexualities and gender, in particular, embodiment, ageing and intimacies. Recent projects include an exploration of the ways in which preteen girls make sense of popular culture in a context of debates around the ‘sexualization’ of girls (with Sue Jackson and Rosalind Gill), and the experiences of self-identified asexuals in Aotearoa New Zealand. I am currently developing a project on digital transformations of intimacy.
